I'm going blind!

Day one of no smoking and all is well except the medicine makes my vision really blurry and I feel a bit disoriented. I filed a police report with the NYPD about my lost identity and got this special slip that will allow me to go on the plane to Boston tomorrow for business. Phew! It's about 60 degrees in NYC today and the sidewalks and benches are filled with people on their lunch break soaking up the sun. Scott's been earning some serious points lately so all is well on that front. Lindz and I are getting a x-mas tree this weekend. My b-day is approaching and I have a crew flying in from Chicago for a night of salsa dancing! Watch out! Need to buy a dress ASAP!

Neck Ache?

I am thinking of Lizzy's neck shot today and wondering if she is now throwing up at the thought of cigarettes. Also thinking of Chaz and Lena wondering if they got their 11th hour reprieve from the government to let them travel to Sweden today. Also, thoughts of Mom, Mike, Clark and Lucy on the open road. Lucille stuck in the Grinche's Christmas with no tree. Dad's situation of course. And then finally, of my little mouse who is in Denver.

Shame

Ok, I admit it. I set up a knitting blog called Knitty Knitty Bang Bang. Am I morphing into Mom?,

The Children are Nestled All Snug in Their Beds!

So it is time to knit!

I congradulate you, too, Lyd! Weather in NYC is VERY mild it's almost too good... Just got off the phone with mom and she is driving out of her way to eat a hamburger the size of a hubcap! Gotta love middle America!

All done

I must congratulate me. I just finished knitting my sweater. Yippie. I am now going to start a stocking for Baker.

Day Two

it's still raining

10-4 Big Mama

Funny, they don't look like truckers on the open road.

"Are you there god, it's me, Margaret"

I have to say that this is all a bit "are you there god, it's me Margaret," but it is very therapudic. Well, Baker came home yesterday with a detention note from his teacher because he cut a little boy's hair. As you probably guessed, it was without his permission! Oh well, at least he didn't cut his own. Someone stole my dog's holiday sweater off of his back, literally. Guess everyone isn't in the same spirit as the rest of us. Sorry about the rain Lucille. Don't want to rub it in, but I have to go so I can sip eggnog by my glorious Christmas tree.

D-day

shawbang

Today is th ebig day. getting a shot in th eback of my neck that makes me throw up if I smoke a cig. Pretty extreame but should be helpful! Have a lot of friends coming with to support me. On top of that, I'm going cold turkey and not drinking for awhile. Need to get this body back in shape. Still looking for x-mas tickets to California. Might cost me a small fortune...

Green and Red

All I want to do is get a Christmas tree - but today it rained buckets. Not exactly the weather to walk around for 45 minutes in an effort to find the perfect tree. It's not supposed to let up for three days. Alas, three whole days of Christmas-ness that will slip away without having been celebrated with a beautiful tree. My optimistic side comes out - maybe this is supposed to teach me to be more patient.

We're having a little Christmas party tomorrow night to bring in the holiday season. I'm making Cheeseballs - Justin is thrilled. One will be covered in craberries and another in parsley (green and red : ])

One of my friends from work got fired today. I have no idea why. I think it might have been a confidentiality issue. Will miss him. We had some great lunchtime debates.

Justin's present is coming along beautifully...

Miss you all but am thrilled we have this to stay in touch.

Quick Holiday Pics

Doesn't Clark look handsome and in love in his new duds?

Nutty NYC

Man, I foresee this as becoming pretty interesting moving forward. In a nutshell, your crazy sister had herself quite a weekend which included losing her passport, driver's liscense, a trip to the mental hospital, a run-in with the police, a complete shut down of her immune system and a lot of random receipts in the wallet that total over a grand. Top that, i dare you.

Boy do I feel hip

Given my predilection to rant, this is a great idea. Look out.

HallowThanksMas

It's official. We are now celebrating HalloThanksMas around our house. The Triptiphan had not even set in from the Turkey and we were already out the door for the Christmas tree. This is not to say that I don't love Thanksgiving, it is in fact my favorite holiday, but when you have a 4 year old and a 2 year old it is Santa time. It must be confusing to a child. At least to mine. They have been seeing Christmas decorations since September and even ran into Santa at the grocery Circa November 10th! What do you expect. So now we have the daily question, "Is today Christmas Mommy?". So, seeing as we are still T minus one month, the answer is no. I thought I had solved all ills by initiating a countdown. Ran out and got an advent calendar and ceremoniously gathered the kids around it after school today to open the first window. BUT woops, they don't start until December 1st. Guess that is one of the downsides of the Hallowthanksmas holiday.

End of Thanksgiving Break

Mom's tired, my husband is sick of hearing us ramble about blogs and my Step Dad is dying to get on the road.
