There's no place like home

God do I wish I could click my heals and get back to California ASAP. We are back in Atlanta and the adjustment has been hell. Mary Rowe won't even go outside because she says she gets too sweaty and Baker wants to know why we don't have a pool in our backyard. Spencer could care less, at least he is content. Dill got back on Saturday from the Phillipiines and has been sleeping all day and staying up all night. He did have a few waking hours today to celebrate his birthday today. It was a nice rainy day so we watched the Britiish Open, opened presents, hit the pirate Pinata I got him, and then went to Houstons for Dinner. Baker is off to his first day of Kindergarten camp tomorrow. MR and I are headed to the doctor for me to get an IUD put in. Never had one, but have heard they are great. I wish they weren't great because I would love another baby someday, but we shall see. Can't wait until we leave for Michigan on Saturday. We are actually going to drive the whole way in 2 days this time. That means from Atl to Cinncinatti, then Cinn to Harbor Springs. No skin off my back, I love driving and having all the kids restrained. It is a heavenly situation for me. Plus I have mastered the art of tuning them out completely in the car. So books on tape here we come! Tomorrow is day 21 of my "life change", and I must say, I have lost a ton of weight. I easily fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes and am on my way to getting even thinner. Yippie. I think I am morphing into popeye though with all of the raw spinach I have been eating. We finally got our tickets for Florida today. We get there on Wednesday at 5 and leave on Saturday at 5:30. Does anyone else get in at that time because we will be renting a car if you want a ride. We are actually really looking forward to the trip. Mary Rowe has never been to the ocean and the hotel looks great. it has an amazing kids pool with a waterslide and waterfall etc. Lizzy, I love your idea for the blog. I have my knitting blog on the side. I wish I wrote and posted pictures more because it is fun. Dill is even excited about your idea and said he would definately participate so send him the link when you get it. Are you going through the Blogger sight? It was so fun seeing you both and your significant others. Lizzy, I have to say, Mom and I looooooved Drew. We couuld not believe how considerate, helpful and just all around precious he was. Time for me to knit a few more rows and hit the hay. Spencer is consistantly sleeping through the night now so I don't dread going to sleep at night. Makes life a lot easier when you can get a few hours of sleep at night. Love to all and can't wait to see you in Floriday. If you have a wild hair, come to Michigan.
